Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What makes you different from other co-packers?

A. We do what we say we are going to do. Being thorough and nimble is not just a philosophy, it is embedded in the culture. Secondly, because we take a project from concept to execution, we look to achieve a balance between intelligent design and executional efficiency.

Q. Do you work from a set of Standard Operating Procedures? If so, what are they?

A. We do. In fact, we’ve spent the past dozen years developing, testing, revising, and codifying them. We have five inch-thick volumes of detailed, industry-specific SOPs, like the pharmaceutical, package goods, and food service companies.

You are welcome to visit our offices to review them.

Ultimately, our big books of SOPs distill down to this: It is our Standard Operating Procedure to remove the difficulty and stress from your design, packaging, and logistical problems, and to do so with efficiency, professionalism, discretion, and quiet modesty. That’s standard for us.

Q. What size is your facility?

A. We have direct access to over 200,000 square-feet of “flex” space. This means we can efficiently handle any size program you throw at us, big or small, with very little restrictions and you don’t pay for the overhead of space that you don’t need.

Q. Can you provide total turnkey display solutions?

A. Yes we sure can. We encourage you to collaborate with us right from the beginning of a proposed project so that we can apply our wealth of experience to design, produce and pack displays engage the consumers to promote sales lift.

Q. Do you have temperature controlled facilities?

A. Indeed, we do. If your products require temperature control before, during, and after the assembly, packaging, and repackaging process, we will ensure the finished goods are securely placed within our temperature controlled environments.

Q. Do you have a current Health Canada Issued Drug Establishment License?

A. Yes, we do. We are one of only a few co-packaging companies to have this federal government licensing, which means we are permitted to handle, package, label and re-label pharmaceuticals. This is an indicator of professionalism and best practices, and we are proud to have this certification. We believe this is a reflection of our work, who we are, and our commitment to customer service.

Q. I don’t know the name for the service I need, but I can describe it—can you help?

A. We’d be delighted. And it doesn’t matter what it’s normally called. All that matters to us is that we accomplish what you need the way you need it accomplished, when you need it accomplished. Some of our clients call one thing contract packaging, others call it contract manufacturing. It doesn’t matter if you call it overwrapping or flow-wrapping or fin-seal wrapping. The bottom line is that we will get the job done.

Q. Do you do conceptual design as well as take care of the logistical and packaging processes?

A. Yes, we do. We offer professional conceptual design and branding services as part of our complete services offerings. We alleviate client concerns and remove the headaches by providing a seamless end-to-end suite of services; no matter what the client requires or the level of complexity.

Q. Does Co-Pak have limitations regarding the projects or work it is prepared to accept?

A. No, but our capabilities really do shine with the more complex logistical and design challenges. This is not an idle boast: Co-Pak is fortunate to have many dedicated, empathic problem-solvers who enjoy the curves that our clients throw at us.
